Two ways to connect a domain
Every domain is Connected or Managed. Start Connected; move a root domain to Managed when you want its DNS and email here.
Connected
You add a CNAME record at your DNS provider. Serves stores, funnels and communities.
- Included: Stores, funnels and community pages on your hostname
- Included: Automatic HTTPS certificates
- Not included: DNS and email stay with your current provider
Custom hostnames
Included in Growth. Each extra hostname is $0.10 a month.
Managed
You point the nameservers to SalesEngine. Adds a DNS editor, native email and free hostnames.
- Included: DNS editor, with your current records imported first
- Included: Native inbox and sending, with SPF, DKIM and DMARC managed
- Included: Any number of hostnames at no extra cost
Managed domains
Hostnames on a managed domain don't count as custom hostnames.
