Hand grinder or an entry-level electric?

Budget is around $200. I mostly brew V60 and the occasional AeroPress, one or two cups a day.

Is a good hand grinder better than a cheap electric at this price, or will I regret cranking every morning?

I crank every morning and I love it. Two minutes of quiet before the house wakes up.

For one or two cups of pour-over, a good hand grinder wins at that price. Uniformity matters more than speed, and you can always add an electric later. I still use mine for travel.

This settles it. Ordering the Hand Burr Grinder tonight.

Hand grinders are great until you make coffee for four people.

      Ha, that makes sense now.

The Gooseneck Kettle from the shop has been rock solid for me.

Retention was my biggest annoyance. Single-dose friendly is worth it.

Measure the water temperature at the dripper, not the kettle. It drops fast.

Whatever you pick, budget for a decent scale too.
