About Loyal Bean
Loyal Bean is a points program made for coffee and food businesses. Customers earn beans on every order and trade them for rewards you choose: a free bag, free shipping or merch.
Members see their balance at checkout and on their storefront account; your team sees each contact’s balance and tier right on the CRM contact page.
Version 2.3 also rewards community activity: a post in your community or a finished course earns bonus beans, which is why it asks to see your community.
- Beans on every order, bonus beans on birthdays
- Rewards: a free bag, free shipping or merch
- Balance and tier on every CRM contact
- New in 2.3: beans for posts and finished courses
What it can do
Loyal Bean asks for these permissions when you install it. You can see them again, and uninstall, in Settings.

In every store of the organization, including order history.

In every CRM sub-account, including tags and custom fields.

Add notes and tags, update fields and move opportunities between stages.
Community

In every community, including private spaces it is added to.
Events it receives
Delivered as signed webhooks to Hearth & Co., in order and retried on failure.
- Order paid
- Contact created
- Post created
- Course completed
What it adds to SalesEngine
- A “Rewards” page in the sidebar’s Apps folder
- A card on Home: “Loyalty this week”
- A section on contact pages: “Rewards”
- “Give bonus beans” in the menu of contacts
Pages open in a sandboxed frame; cards and menu items are drawn by SalesEngine from the app’s data, so no app code runs in your dashboard.
In CRM automations
- Trigger: Reward redeemed
- Trigger: Loyalty tier reached
- Action: Award beans
How it runs
Runs on the developer’s own servers.
- Where its code runs
- On the developer’s infrastructure, never on SalesEngine.
- How it reaches your data
- Through the public API with a token limited to the permissions you approve. Its pages open in a sandboxed frame that can’t see your SalesEngine session.
- How SalesEngine reaches it
- Signed webhooks for the events it subscribes to.

Our regulars love the free-bag reward
Redemptions are way up compared with our old punch card, and seeing the balance on each contact helps the team say thanks at the counter.

Would like more reward types
Works great; a percentage-off reward would make it perfect.
